SnackDown 2017 | Global Programming Contest

SnackDown is a multi round programming competition open to anyone with a knack for programming. Hosted by CodeChef, the competition was started in the year 2009.

The aim with SnackDown is to pit the finest computer programming brains from different parts of the globe against each other, under one roof in India. SnackDown also provides a unique opportunity for the top programmers of the world to get a flavour of India and at the same time let the Indian programmers meet top global programmers in flesh and bones. The competition is open to everyone including the middle and high school students as well as working professionals, virtually having no formal eligibility criteria.

SnackDown had a humble beginning with the inaugural edition of SnackDown witnessing participation from 639 teams of 3 members each taking part in the competition. Since then the contest has grown by leaps and bounds, with every subsequent edition triumphing its precursor. Today, SnackDown is being considered to be one of the most coveted onsite competitive programming titles across the globe.

অান্তর্জাতিক প্রোগ্রামিং কমিউনিটি CodeChef এর বাৎসরিক প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগীতা “SnackDown” এর ৪র্থ অাসর ২০ মে, ২০১৭ তারিখে শুরু হবে। ছোট পরিসরে শুরু হলেও কনটেস্টটি এখন পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে বড় Onsite কনটেস্টগুলোর একটা। গত বছরের তুলনায় এবার অারো বড় পরিসরে কনটেস্টটি অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।
কন্টেস্টে সর্বোচ্চ ২ জনের দল নিয়ে অংশ নেওয়া যাবে। প্রতিবছর নতুন কিছু করার ধারাবাহিকতায় এবার কনটেস্টের নতুন নিয়ম: দল গঠনের ক্ষেত্রে এবার অার কোন বিধিনিষেধ নেই। যে কারো সাথেই দল গঠন করা যাবে!
এ বছরের অনুষ্ঠানের গুরুত্বপূ্র্ণ কিছু তথ্য:

** থাকছে ২০,৫০০ USD এর ক্যাশ পুরষ্কার এবং ১৫,০০০ USD এর উপহারসামগ্রী
** “Elimination Round” এর সেরা ৩০০ দলের জন্য থাকছে অাকর্ষণীয় “#SnackDown” টি-শার্ট।
** ৫৭টা দল যাবে মুম্বাইয়ে, “SnackDown” এর Onsite ফাইনালে
** সকল যোগ্য ফাইনালিস্টের গ্র্যান্ড ফাইনালের যাবতীয় খরচ CodeChef বহন করবে
** থাকছে স্কুল অার গার্লস টিম এর জন্য স্পেশাল রিজার্ভড স্লট।

বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে বড় কম্পেটিটিভ প্রোগ্রামারদের সাথে প্রতিযোগীতা করার সুযোগ করে দেবে এই কন্টেস্ট। কোয়ালিফিকেশন রাউন্ড চলবে বাংলাদেশ সময় ২০ মে বিকাল ৫:৩০ থেকে ২৪ মে বিকাল ৫:৩০ পর্যন্ত। কোয়ালিফাই করা সব টিমের জন্য থাকছে অংশগ্রহণের সার্টিফিকেট।
